Artist bio
Hadia Sameen graduated in 2023 from the Fine Arts department at the Punjab University College of Art and Design, Lahore. She is currently practicing art in Lahore. Hadia has participated in group exhibitions at Numaishgah, VMArt Gallery, and O Art Space. Her work has also been featured on The Aleph Review website.
Artist statement
Sameen’s art practice serves as a visual narrative, weaving together the strength, resilience and beauty of women’s experiences. Together her use of various mediums create a powerful visual language that speaks to the essence of women’s empowerment.
Her inspiration for using henna on canvas to create design originates from a combination of cultural connection. This results in captivating and unique pieces of art that celebrate the beauty and diversity of human expression.
