Artist statement
“Rest is Impossible; Change is the only Constant.”
Chishti’s work conveys the idea that rest or stillness is unattainable in a world where constant change is the norm. It suggests that existence is in a perpetual state of transformation and sheds light on the interconnectedness and ever-evolving nature of life, humanity, and the universe. The phrase encapsulates the notion that the pursuit of unchanging stability is elusive and that embracing change is a more meaningful and realistic approach to our existence. This series of artworks raises complex questions about reality and identity in a world marked by constant change. It challenges us to question the stability we perceive and contemplate the intricate interconnectedness of all things present in universe. Through illusionistic patterns and abstract forms, artist encourages viewers to reevaluate their understanding of reality, illustrating how our world is in perpetual state of transformation. These patterns, seemingly in constant motion, mirror the dynamic nature of our existence, where change is a fundamental constant.
